Hillary SchroederPartner

Ms. Schroeder’s practice focuses on international trademark, copyright,
anti-counterfeit and advertising law. She has worked to register and enforce
some of the biggest brands in the world but has also helped many startup
companies file their first trademark applications. In addition to global
clearance and prosecution of trademarks and copyrights she has significant
experience with both US and ex-US disputes, including litigation, mediation
and arbitration. She also has experience with advertising counseling, domain
management and enforcement, corporate IP diligence and IP licensing.

Ms. Schroeder has significant in-house counsel experience having worked as
trademark counsel for Apple and as global director of trademarks at Juul Labs.
At the latter, she developed the company’s trademark and copyright program
where she oversaw prosecution of thousands of trademark, copyright and
domain registrations related to the JUUL brand, oversaw hundreds of
enforcement litigations/arbitrations around the world and thousands of
nonlitigation enforcement matters. At Apple, Ms. Schroeder managed
numerous global portfolios including for iPad, AirPods and iPod.

Ms. Schroeder has assisted clients across diverse industries including:
technology and media communications, medical devices and
pharmaceuticals, apparel, food services, financial services, and consumer
goods. Having worked as both in-house and outside counsel, and having
had the opportunity to work with such a diverse array of clients, Ms. Schroeder
is able to give clients practical legal advice, tailored to a client’s business
needs in any situation.
